[UPDATE] - March 2009 - The Woodbury High School Class of 1979 Reunion will be held June 12-13, 2009.

Please mark your calendar for a fun filled weekend beginning Friday evening with a Victorian Mansion social and on Saturday plan for a picnic with friends and family.

January 2009 - Planning of the 30 year reunion for the Class of 1979 is in beginning stages.

Class of 1989 20-Year Reunion News:

[UPDATE] - June 2009 - The Class of 1989 is now set to begin registration for the 20th reunion scheduled for the weekend of August 15th. Formally, there will be a family picnic on Saturday, August 15th at Battle Creek Park in Maplewood, MN. This will include a lunch and the park has many activities for kids including a water park (not covered in the reunion price). On the evening of the 15th the reunion event will be at the VFW in Stillwater where food will be included in the price (maybe not a full meal, but appetizers).

We have made every effort to keep this reunion as reasonably priced as possible. The prices of the events on the attached registration form do include costs for the locations.

We are also still figuring out a more informal gathering for Friday, August 14th in the evening and will send information on that as well. Also, there may be some other informal events like golf being planned that we would gladly help in advertising - just keep us in the loop!

It sounds like we will have a great turnout for this, and from what we're hearing from everyone, people will be coming from all over the country! Please send in your registration and payment soon, as it will help us know our full budgets and make the reunion run as smoothly as possible.

March 2009 - We've got some basic plans set as of right now. We're set for a family picnic at Battle Creek Park in St. Paul (right off of Century Avenue and 94) during the day of August 15th (more specific details will be coming) and we're most likely going to be at the VFW in Stillwater for the Saturday evening event.

Those of us organizing this are looking for some feedback. Please respond to me (Jeff) as soon as possible on your thoughts on these things:

• A) Are you planning to attend the reunion on August 15th?
• B) What cost are you willing to pay for the reunion? $20 per person, $30 per person, $40 per person? More? We're trying to keep this as cost effective as possible for everyone. The higher the cost would provide food and/or some sort of formal entertainment for the picnic and evening event.
• C) Will you be looking for hotel lodging for the night of the 15th? If we have a high demand for that we'll look for deals in Stillwater near the VFW that we can access.

While we're certainly not going to please everyone with what we decide, your feedback will be important to us in making this as accessible to everyone as possible.

We also will need help in tracking down people we have not heard from yet. I will get that list emailed out very soon so we can all help make that work.

If we don't hear from you, it will make planning more difficult, so please respond as soon as you can on the questions above.

January 2009 - Hi All - we have a reunion date set now - the weekend of August 15, 2009.

Our initial plans are as follows:

Fri., August 14
Evening, informal class gathering - Location TBD
Sat., August 15 (morning/early afternoon)
Family picnic at Battlecreek Park
Sat., August 15 (evening)
Gathering w/spouses/significant others - location TBD

Now that a date is set, we need to get the organization for the events set. Andrea and I will not be able to plan it all so we are hopeful that there are others willing to help in organizing, planning, setting up and things like that. If you are able/interested in helping to get things organized, please contact us ASAP. The success of this event will depend on whether others help out. Our goal is to keep the price as low as possible and to have a location for the Saturday night event near hotels for those coming from out of town.

We will only be communicating electronically, so please spread the word fast! Please send any email addresses or contact information you have on other alumni and please make calls, send emails or do whatever you can to get in touch with everyone possible ASAP!

We'll have more information (locations, costs, times, hotels) out to you as we get the final pieces in place and organized (HELP!)
