Alumni Association's Distinguished
Alumni Award
Meet the 2004
winners
This is the first announcement for nominations
for the 3rd Annual Distinguished Alumni Award. This award will recognize
those individuals that have reached beyond their high school beginnings
and have achieved a significant life goal, completion of a project,
or performed an action to better their community or assist an individual.
The
Woodbury High School Alumni Association would like to announce the
2004 winners of the Distinguished Alumni Award.
The winners are
Bobbi Jo Woods, Class of 1991, and William Moore, Class of 1980.
Ms. Woods has
tirelessly dedicated herself to the Woodbury Alumni Association,
creating the website and maintaining current information such as
reunions and projects as they come along.
She has spent many hours planning and participating in
projects to help build the Alumni Association, and expand the public
knowledge of its existence.
William
Moore has been very active in the
Woodbury Community. Recently,
he was the WHS Boys' hockey coach.
He has been involved in operating hockey camps for several
years and has expended a great deal of energy and time in promotion
of good sportsmanship in hockey while honing the player's athletic
skills. Bill has been selected as an
"Honor Teacher" by the graduating class numerous times. He
has been elected to the building SITE Council and recently completed
his term as SITE Council Chair.
Both
winners will receive their awards at the Woodbury Homecoming
football game this September.
