It is with great
pride and excitement that I introduce to you the wonderful new
website of the Woodbury High School Alumni Association. This website
has been developed to give the alumni of Woodbury High school
a place to reconnect with old friends, find updates about reunions
and school events, and to be able to participate in the many different
projects that are organized with both the Alumni Association and
the school.
This site will always be changing as the needs
change. At this grand opening, I want you to look through the
different parts of the website, and let us know which sections
are great, which need some work, and what else you think should
be included here. This website was designed to be flexible, to
include information that is important to the graduates and the
current students of Woodbury High School.
The biggest challenge has been to try and put
enough information on the site to keep it interesting, without
adding too much at once, and then have no one look at what we
have to offer. Currently, we are expanding each area of the website
as information becomes available, or as you suggest new aspects
that could be included here. I encourage everyone to drop me an
email with your suggestions.
The other piece of this website is to include
the students that are still at the high school. We want everyone,
students, faculty, and graduates, to utilize this space to communicate
with one another, and keep in touch as the school changes and
grows. If the students are using the site while they are still
attending WHS, we hope that they would be more likely to continue
using after they graduate and move on to new places in their lives.
Welcome to the website, and please join us in
forging ahead with the ultimate goal of the WHS Alumni Association:
to bring the graduates of WHS in contact with current students
and create a partnership to better the lives of both students
and graduates.
I wish to extend a special thanks to John Rogers
and Bobbi Jo Woods for all of their hard work and dedication to
this project. I applaud you both for your tolerance of my crazy
ideas.
